Did you ever wonder what it would be like to go uphill on a bicycle really fast and not have to peddle? Well if you have now you can find out. Enter the world of E-bikes. Whether you cycle for exercise, fun, or even commute. This is a category of bicycle that is rapidly expanding. The choices are many and it can be very hard to decipher what you need or what makes sense. Some e-bikes are straight up competition for motorcycles now. As much as I would have loved to, I did not need that. It really all depends on what your going to be using it for. I know your thinking they must be pricey, but they are pretty even with a standard or dare I say old fashioned bicycle.
I did a lot of research on E-Bikes before choosing the 500w Hummer. I was on a budget around $1000 but also wanted the best quality I could get with function. This bike has it all! Some of the reviews almost swayed me away and even made me anxious about ordering. I wanted a bike that would be multi-use for recreation, exercise, and trips to the local store. I had compared it to others in the price range specifically the Rad Runner. In the end I chose this over that since I felt like it could be more versatile. It also included the front fork suspension and the gears. The Rad Runner was only single speed and does not come with a display. I was however leery based on some of the negative reviews but decided to take a chance. I am glad I did!
Delivery was quicker than anticipated and packaging was well thought out. The bike arrived damage free thanks to the seller. I had watched Ancheer’s unboxing/assembly video before hand so I knew what to expect. Assembly was quick and the bike came 90% assembled. I would not worry about putting it together yourself. The included instructions were also very clear. The quality also seems very strong and stable.
After assembly I tested everything and it all seemed to be as advertised. I have now had the bike a few days and have gone on several rides. It’s really great fun and comfortable. There is a learning curve to riding electric but you quickly get used to it. This bike is fast too! On throttle alone it quickly soared to 20mph.
I’ll update on my adventures as time goes on. However, I will tell you based on first impression and almost a week of ownership, I would not hesitate to order this bike again.
